Orbik Cybersecurity presents the world’s first virtual laboratory for automated industrial cybersecurity testing focused on product compliance

Orbik Cybersecurity has make its debut at the International Machine Tool Biennial with the presentation of a world-first pioneering solution: a virtual laboratory for automated cybersecurity conformity testing, enabling the integration of cybersecurity tests directly into the development process.

New regulatory requirements in industrial cybersecurity—through standards such as IEC 62443 and the European Cyber Resilience framework—are forcing manufacturers and integrators to validate the cybersecurity of their products before they reach the market. Currently, these tests are mostly performed manually and externally, leading to higher costs and longer timelines.

With Orbik’s new tool, companies can now automate these tests in-house, generating objective and reproducible and in the future, certifiable results. This approach reduces dependence on external laboratories while helping manufacturers and integrators achieve regulatory compliance more efficiently and at lower cost.

This virtual laboratory also enhances product cybersecurity and guarantees regulatory compliance with ENAC-accredited reports, reducing both laboratory investment and the need for highly specialized cybersecurity profiles. The tool is intuitive enough to be used after a short tutorial.

For manufacturers, it increases development speed and ensures secure change management through validation during the design phase. For integrators, it enables standardization and certification of products, simplifies the adoption of alternative suppliers, and allows verification of substation-specific configurations, effectively replicating real operational conditions for “twin” cybersecurity testing.

With our solution, companies can achieve major cost savings. Current testing processes are extremely expensive. By contrast, with our tool, clients pay a modest monthly fee plus a per-report charge—significantly below the cost of external lab testing. Moreover, by ensuring compliance, they can also avoid possible fines of up to €15 million or 2.5% of annual turnover” explains Salva Trujillo, CEO of Orbik Cybersecurity.

The solution is currently in its first product series and is being implemented with industrial-sector integrators. “Our goal is to expand its application to new industrial domains and vertical-specific standards” adds Trujillo.

Orbik’s objective with this groundbreaking innovation is to accelerate regulatory compliance in industrial product cybersecurity, democratizing access for small and medium-sized enterprises while fostering competitiveness and innovation across the Basque industrial ecosystem.
